Job Purpose

We seek a dynamic IT Helpdesk Specialist to provide first-level technical support for banking applications, including the Core Banking System (T24), auxiliary databases, infrastructure, network, logical access management, and reporting systems.

This role involves collaborating with the IT Service Delivery Manager to implement the ITIL service management framework, ensuring effective IT support and alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage all requests and incident logs in SMARTFIX to ensure timely resolution.
  2. Provide first-level support for Core Banking Application (T24) and manage user profiles.
  3. Resolve and allocate requests/incidents in SMARTFIX, ensuring SLA adherence with internal and group support teams.
  4. Prepare and submit monthly SMARTFIX reports to the IT Service Delivery Manager, detailing logged calls and their statuses.
  5. Train and guide users on new applications and systems introduced within the bank.
  6. Ensure smooth operation of all banking applications and promptly follow up on any system unavailability.
  7. Provide technical support for BOT clearing applications (TACH & TISS) and coordinate with technical support teams for resolution.
  8. Support all ICT-related systems, including gadgets, networks, and other associated devices.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:
    • Computer Science
    • Computer Engineering
    • Information Technology

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
