Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd has an exciting opportunity in the Manufacturing Department. We are seeking a talented individual with relevant skills and experience in manufacturing for the Maintenance Manager position, based in Dar es Salaam. The successful candidate will report directly to the Manufacturing Director.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
Asset Care
- Lead and drive the plant and facility asset care plan, addressing technical competencies and training needs.
- Maintain compliance with Engineering Change Management Procedures and audit requirements.
Plant Reliability
- Ensure the reliability and uptime of the Packaging plant through effective maintenance and support.
- Implement predictive maintenance techniques and verify the quality of routine and planned maintenance.
- Analyze plant failure modes, investigate causes of repeat failures, and implement root-cause corrective actions.
Breakdown Response
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and equipment failures to minimize plant downtime.
- Conduct thorough analyses of breakdowns to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
Plant Optimization
- Evaluate continuous improvement opportunities and recommend changes to optimize plant operations.
- Develop and execute corrective actions for plant failures, enhancing processes and equipment.
Team Leadership and Management
- Lead and develop the Maintenance and Support (MAS) team, fostering ownership, empowerment, and high performance.
- Conduct regular goal reviews, performance evaluations, and training plans to ensure team competency and multi-skilling.
Safety and Housekeeping
- Ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping procedures in line with CCBA and legislative policies.
- Conduct regular safety checks, audits, and meetings to maintain a health and safety focus.
Budget Management
- Manage asset care budgetary controls and support maintenance budget development.
- Develop and control maintenance cost plans and CAPEX to ensure financial efficiency.
Maintenance Planning and Execution
- Ensure compliance with maintenance planning and execution while updating maintenance packages.
- Manage special tools, coordinate MAS availability for maintenance days, and ensure spares and resources are ready.
Skills, Experience & Education
Skills
- Leadership ability to drive the asset care plan and develop the MAS team.
- Technical expertise to ensure compliance with engineering standards and maintain plant reliability.
- Problem-solving skills to address breakdowns, analyze issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Analytical skills for continuous improvement and data-driven plant operation recommendations.
- Financial acumen to manage budgets, cost plans, and financial efficiency.
Experience
- Engineering qualification with at least 8 years of maintenance experience.
- Broad-based engineering and packaging knowledge.
- In-depth understanding of packaging operations, processes, and systems.
- 4 years of line management experience.
Education
- BSc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
