Position Purpose:
As the Warehouse Leading Hand, you will manage overall warehouse operations and ensure efficient service delivery by the team. This includes inventory management, ensuring a smooth flow of inbound goods, supporting sales operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with Warehouse Management standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Run an efficient warehouse operation to meet operational and customer demands.
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of team members for seamless operations.
  • Inspect outgoing stock, ensure documentation accuracy, and oversee parts delivery to customers as per schedule.
  • Train new warehouse operators within your area of responsibility.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to safety standards.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and that stock movements are recorded precisely.
  • Organize and participate in regular stock-taking and cycle counts.
  • Keep computerized systems updated and accurate.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to warehouse systems and procedures.
  • Ensure proper manual handling of products and materials.
  • Maintain high-security standards in the warehouse.
  • Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Aurora).
  • Experience in addressing customer queries and complaints.
  • Previous experience in mining or related industries is an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High attention to detail and conscientiousness.
  • Flexibility, self-reliance, and the ability to work independently as a proactive self-starter.
