Kilombero Sugar Company Limited (KSCL), the largest sugar producer in Tanzania, operates in conjunction with Illovo Distillers Tanzania Limited (IDTL) and is a member of Illovo Sugar Africa Limited. Located in the Morogoro region, KSCL comprises two adjacent agricultural estates and sugar factories, Msolwa and Ruembe, situated on either side of the Great Ruaha River. We annually produce approximately 130,000 tons of sugar from 1.25 million tons of sugarcane, with 55% cultivated by our own operations and 45% by our growers, who benefit from our extension support, training, and development programs. Through our successful “route to market” model, KSCL enjoys significant local consumer support for its “Bwana Sukari” brown sugar brand.
